Can I fill out a paper application?
No, we do not have paper applications. If you need assistance, we can schedule a time for you to visit our Employment Center where we have computers and people available to assist you.

What if I don't have a computer? Or know how to use one?
You can apply from any location that has a computer and Internet access by simply visiting our website at www.irvinecompanyresortsjobs.com. If you do not have computer or Internet access you may call our Employment Center at 949-720-4311. We will be able to provide you with locations around the county if you do not have one available to you.  Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

How do I know my application was received?
When you have completed your profile and have clicked on the "Submit" button you will be brought to a page that will acknowledge that your application has been received.  You will also receive an email confirmation in your email inbox.

If I fill out an application online is there any way for me to talk to someone about my application?
If you have a question not answered here, you may contact our Employment Center at 949-720-4311 during our office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Do I need to have resort or golf club experience? 
The Resort at Pelican Hill prefers individuals who have prior resort or golf club experience. Again, pay special attention to the position requirements to find out which one requests prior experience and which ones do not.

Does English have to be my first language?
No, English does not have to be your first language but you must have basic capabilities. Most of the jobs at our Resorts Properties require employees to read and speak some English. If you need assistance with translation, you can call 949-720-4311 and schedule an appointment to have one of our bilingual staff assist you with completing the application.

What are the hours of the job? 
The shifts at the resort are basic - you will have a shift that would begin anywhere from 5am to 10am in the morning or anywhere from noon to 8pm.  Specifics hours and shifts will be discussed in the interview.

In this position, is overtime expected?
Overtime is not expected but it is possible that you will be asked to work overtime occasionally.

How large is the company?
The Irvine Company employs over 3000 people and our new property, The Resort at Pelican Hill, will employ 1200 once it is fully staffed.

Can I schedule an interview on weekends?
Please check with our Employment Center at 949-720-4311 as to availability to interview on Saturdays.

Why do I need to create a Username and Password?
We ask you to create a Username and Password to make your application secure and to ensure your privacy. By logging on using your Username and Password, you can edit the information you provided. Please be sure to keep your password confidential and do not share it with others.

What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you can request for us to send you a reminder email with your password.

Can I attach my resume to the profile?
Yes, at the time of creating your profile, you will be asked to import your resume as you begin. The system will even help you fill out some required fields!

Why am I asked to list my date of birth in the background section on the online application?
This allows us to complete a background check if necessary. This information will be kept confidential and no hiring managers will be able to view it.

I don't see the position I want to apply for. Why not?
If you cannot find the position you want to apply for, please check back later. The position is not available at this time.

What is an I-9?
The Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) is the form that is required by the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to document eligibility for employment in the United States.

Do I need to create a new application for each position I am interested in? 
You do not need to create a new profile for each position that interests you. Simply use your username and password to enter the profile that you have already created to apply to any other position in which you are interested.
